Therapy
Specialized therapy services that promote communication, motor development, emotional growth, and independence within an inclusive and supportive environment.

Music Therapy
Music therapy is an adjunct service that benefits students with autism, cognitive impairment, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and other health impairments by neutralizing negative feelings, reducing stress, and improving quality of life.
It utilizes the structured elements of music, such as rhythm and pitch, to foster cognitive, communication, motor, and social skills. Techniques include using musical mnemonics for information sequencing, enhancing sensory awareness through sound levels, and improving speech through rhythmic and melodic patterns.

Speech Therapy
Speech and language pathologists focus on treating communication difficulties, particularly in children with autism and other disabilities. They assess communication abilities to enhance proficiency or identify alternative communication methods.
Communication encompasses receptive and expressive types and can be divided into phonology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics, which therapists address at Mason’s Place Too.

Occupational Therapy
An occupational therapist aids in the development of a child's nervous system, enhancing muscle strength, coordination, and daily life skills. They focus on fine motor abilities and sensory awareness, addressing issues such as Sensory Processing Disorder, which impacts bodily awareness of sensory input.
Initial evaluations assess muscle tone, motor planning, and sensory processing, using checklists to supplement findings. Goals include adaptation to the environment across various functioning domains.
